Fotaran Tz Inj

Fotaran Tz Inj belongs to a class of medication called cephalosporin antibiotics. It is used to treat various bacterial infections in the body. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection.

Fotaran Tz Inj contains Ceftazidime and Tazobactam. Ceftazidime works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) that is necessary for their survival. Tazobactam decreases bacterial resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftazidime against the bacteria. Together, Fotaran Tz Inj helps to treat bacterial infections.

Sometimes, you may experience redness and swelling at the injection site, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and muscle spasms. Most of these side effects of Fotaran Tz Inj do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Before taking Fotaran Tz Inj, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any foods or medications. Drive with caution since Fotaran Tz Inj may cause dizziness. Fotaran Tz Inj should not be administered if you are currently on any vaccinations or are scheduled for the same. Fotaran Tz Inj should be used with caution in those with Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea. Drive only if you are alert, as Fotaran Tz Inj may cause dizziness.

• It would be best to take probiotics after taking the full course of Fotaran Tz Inj to restore some healthy intestinal bacteria that may have been killed. Taking probiotics after antibiotic treatment can reduce the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. Certain fermented foods like yoghurt, cheese, sauerkraut and kimchi can help restore the intestine's good bacteria.
• Include more fibre-enriched food in your diet, as it can be easily digested by gut bacteria, which helps stimulate their growth. Thus, fibre foods may help restore healthy gut bacteria after an antibiotic course. Whole grains, like whole-grain bread and brown rice, should be included in your diet.
• Avoid taking much calcium-enriched foods and drinks as it might affect the working of Fotaran Tz Inj.
  Avoid intake of alcoholic beverages with Fotaran Tz Inj as it can make you dehydrated and affect your sleep. This can make it harder for your body to aid the Fotaran Tz Inj in fighting off infections.
