Schizophrenia is a mental condition in which the person may feel, hear or see things that are not there (hallucinations), believe things that are not true, and feel unusually suspicious or confused. 

Flupez 25 mg Injection 1 ml contains 'Fluphenazine' that belongs to the class of phenothiazines. It works by affecting the balance of the neurotransmitters in the brain. Thereby, Flupez 25 mg Injection 1 ml decreases psychotic symptoms like hallucinations, delusions, and hostility (unfriendly or opposed behaviour) associated with schizophrenia. Flupez 25 mg Injection 1 ml is intended for use in the management of patients requiring prolonged parenteral antipsychotic therapy.

Your doctor will decide the dose and duration based on your medical condition and response to treatment. Common side effects of Flupez 25 mg Injection 1 ml include lethargy/tiredness, drowsiness, headache, dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, constipation, stuffy nose, sweating, weight changes, and pain/redness/swelling at the injection site. Do not drive or operate machinery since it can make you sleepy and interfere with your driving ability. Flupez 25 mg Injection 1 ml is not approved for children younger than 12 years of age.
