Flupetra-NT Tablet is primarily used to treat psychogenic depression, depressive neurosis, psychosomatic affections accompanied by anxiety and apathy, asthenia, menopausal depression, and depression in alcoholics and drug addicts. Depression is a mood disorder that affects a person's daily life and is described as feelings of sadness, loss, or anger. Flupetra-NT Tablet contains Flupentixol and Melitracen. Flupentixol is an antipsychotic medication that works by inhibiting dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that influences thoughts and mood. Melitracen is a tricyclic antidepressant that raises the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that aid in mood regulation and the treatment of depression. Thus, Flupetra-NT Tablet effectively treats various forms of depression and anxiety.

Take Flupetra-NT Tablet as prescribed. What if I have taken an overdose of Flupetra-NT Tablet

Avoid exceeding the recommended dose as it could lead to an overdose. Symptoms of overdose may include fast heart rate, dilated pupils, mucosal dryness, urinary retention, sleepiness, agitation, irritability, convulsions, hallucinations, irregular heartbeat, low blood pressure, cardiac failure, cardiogenic shock, fever, low potassium levels, respiratory depression, depressed level of consciousness, and coma. If you experience these symptoms or suspect you have taken an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

Drug Warnings

Do not use Flupetra-NT Tablet if you are allergic to any of the components. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding. Let your doctor know if you have circulatory collapse (specific failure of the blood circulation), depressed level of consciousness due to any cause (e.g. intoxication with alcohol, opiates or barbiturates), untreated narrow-angle glaucoma, coma, blood disorders, phaeochromocytoma (a small vascular tumour), recent myocardial infarction, any degree of atrioventricular block or disorders of cardiac rhythm and coronary artery insufficiency. Concomitant treatment of Flupetra-NT Tablet with MAOIs (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) is contraindicated as it may cause serotonin syndrome (a combination of symptoms, possibly including confusion, agitation, tremor, hyperthermia and myoclonus). Therefore, do not take Flupetra-NT Tablet if you are taking MAOIs or have taken them in the past 14 days.
