About Evamet MYO Tablet

Evamet MYO Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat diabetic dyslipidaemia (high cholesterol levels in diabetic patients) and poor blood flow. Also, Evamet MYO Tablet may be used to treat the polycystic ovarian syndrome. Diabetic dyslipidaemia is a condition associated with high levels of bad cholesterol (low- density lipoprotein), high triglyceride (a type of fat in the blood) levels and low levels of good cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein) in diabetic patients.

Disease/Condition Glossary

Diabetic dyslipidaemia: It is a condition associated with high levels of bad cholesterol (low- density lipoprotein), high triglyceride (a type of fat in the blood) levels and low levels of good cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein) most commonly affecting type-2 diabetic patients. Good cholesterol is good for our heart and helps in reducing the bad cholesterol from our body. On the other hand, excess of bad cholesterol (LDL) leads to the risk of heart diseases like heart attack and stroke. When there is a high cholesterol level in the blood, your arteries get narrowed and clogged that finally contributes to heart diseases, like stroke and heart attack. Eating high-fat or high-cholesterol containing food/drinks and genetic factors are the primary causes of high cholesterol.
