Dgsim-M Tablet is an antidiabetic medicine used to treat diabetes. It is used for the treatment of Type II Diabetes. Type II Diabetes Mellitus is a serious condition wherein the body doesn’t use insulin effectively, which causes unusual blood glucose levels (either not creating enough insulin, or the insulin they do make does not accomplish its purpose in the body).

Dgsim-M Tablet contains Dapagliflozin (sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors), which removes excess sugar from the body via urine, Sitagliptin (dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor), which works by increasing the amounts of certain natural substances that lower blood sugar when it is high and Metformin (biguanides), which works by reducing the sugar production by cells in the liver and delays sugar absorption from the intestines. Diet management and exercise, along with treatment of Dgsim-M Tablet , are used to control blood sugar levels.

Dgsim-M Tablet may cause certain side effects such as vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain, headache and allergic reactions. If these side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. Dgsim-M Tablet should be taken as prescribed by your doctor.

Dgsim-M Tablet should be avoided if you are allergic to any of the medicines or the components in it. Inform your doctor about your medical history and the medicines you are taking, including herbs and supplements, before starting the treatment with Dgsim-M Tablet . This can help prevent unwanted effects. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking Dgsim-M Tablet . It is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age.

Treatment of Type II Diabetes Mellitus
Swallow the medicine as a whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush, or break it.

Dgsim-M Tablet  is a combination of three drugs: Sitagliptin, Dapagliflozin and Metformin. Dgsim-M Tablet belongs to the group of anti-diabetic medicines used to treat type-2 diabetes mellitus adjunct to diet and exercise. It removes excess sugar from the body via urine, increases the amounts of certain natural substances that lower blood sugar when it is high, reduces sugar production by cells in the liver and delays sugar absorption from the intestines.

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Dgsim-M Tablet may include low blood sugar, stomach pains, feeling or being sick (nausea or vomiting), feeling dizzy and worried. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe these symptoms or think you might have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Dgsim-M Tablet should be avoided if you are allergic to any of the medicines or the components in it. Before starting the treatment, inform your doctor about your medical history and the medications you take, including herbs and supplements. This can help prevent unwanted effects. Dgsim-M Tablet is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver or kidney disease. It is unknown whether Dgsim-M Tablet can be given to pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers. Hence, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. Avoid drinking alcohol while on Dgsim-M Tablet  as it increases the risk of hypoglycemia and lactic acidosis (when the lactic acid increases in the body, which impacts the functioning of various organs in the body).

  • Try doing 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity or one hour and 15 minutes of high-intensity exercise weekly.
  • Include whole-grain foods, fruits and veggies, and other fibre-enriched foods.
  • Add omega-3 fatty acid-containing oils for daily cooking.
  • Avoid too much stress, as it may elevate your blood sugar level. To control stress-related blood sugar changes, you can adopt stress management techniques like mindfulness, meditation, or yoga.
  • Weight loss gradually to achieve a healthy body mass index (18.5 to 24.9).
  • Keep your blood pressure as normal (140/90) as possible, as it reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases in diabetes patients.
  • Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption while on treatment with Dgsim-M Tablet .
  • Take short, frequent meals, and avoid prolonged fasting when taking Dgsim-M Tablet .
