Coronavirus disease, also known as SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus 2), is an infectious disease caused by the corona virus.
 
Desrem 100 Injection contains ‘Remdesivir, which binds to the viral-RNA dependant RNA polymerase enzyme, an enzyme that helps the coronavirus to replicate itself. This inhibits viral replication by premature termination of RNA transcription. Thereby, Desrem 100 Injection lowers the virus load in the body and helps treat the infection.
 
Desrem 100 Injection will be administered by a healthcare professional in a hospital or a healthcare setting capable of providing in-patient hospital care. In some cases, you may experience certain side effects such as nausea, increased transaminase levels, and increased prothrombin time. You are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not take Desrem 100 Injection if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor if you have heart, liver or kidney problems. Desrem 100 Injection is indicated for use only in patients above 12 years, weighing at least 40kg. Transaminase levels should be monitored before and during the treatment with Desrem 100 Injection. Treatment with Desrem 100 Injection should be discontinued if the ALT (Alanine aminotransferase) levels are greater than ten times the upper limit of normal.
