Dependal-M Tablet belongs to a class of medicines known as antibiotics. This is used to treat various infections caused by bacteria, dysentery and diarrhea. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria enter, multiply and infect our bodies. It can target any body part and multiple very quickly. Amoebic dysentery can be caused due to entamoeba histolytica, giardia lamblia or clostridium difficile. Diarrhea is the increase in bowel movement leading to increased and loose motions.

Dependal-M Tablet is a combination of two antibiotics that include furazolidone and metronidazole. Dependal-M Tablet contains flurazolidone works by interfering with the protein synthesis, a mechanism which is important for survival of bacteria. Metronidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that are responsible for causing infections. It works by damaging their DNA. Collectively they help in treating the disease effectively.

Take Dependal-M Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will recommend how often you take Dependal-M Tablet based on your medical condition. Some people may experience nausea, dryness in the mouth, headache, metallic taste, and dark yellow to brown discoloration of urine. Most of these side effects of Dependal-M Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Dependal-M Tablet should not be taken if you are allergic to Dependal-M Tablet or any other contents present in it. It is not advisable to stop taking Dependal-M Tablet suddenly to avoid unpleasant side effects. The full course prescribed by the doctor should be completed. Dependal-M Tablet should not be taken in the conditions like a history of liver and kidney disease. It is advisable to you do not drive while using Dependal-M Tablet as Dependal-M Tablet may cause blurred vision or dizziness that may affect the ability to drive or using machines. If you are allergic to furazolidone, metronidazole or any other antibacterial or anti amoebic agents, please inform your doctor to avoid any unwanted side-effects. Dependal-M Tablet should not be taken in the conditions like liver disease, kidney disease. Before taking Dependal-M Tablet inform your doctor if you have fits disorder, numbness or pain of feet or hands. Dependal-M Tablet may low white blood cell count (leukopenia). Dependal-M Tablet may cause convulsions (rapid contraction and relaxation of body muscles), if you observe these symptoms immediately contact your doctor. Discontinue the Dependal-M Tablet if any signs of low blood count observed. Immediately inform your doctor if you experience swelling of the face, tongue, throat, itchy rash or breathing difficulties while taking this Dependal-M Tablet . Dependal-M Tablet is safely given to children above one month year of age. It is advisable to you do not drive while using Dependal-M Tablet as Dependal-M Tablet may cause blurred vision or dizziness that may affect the ability to drive or use machines. • Do not drink or eat a lot of caffeine-containing products such as coffee, tea, energy drinks, cola or chocolate. Dependal-M Tablet may increase nervousness, sleeplessness and anxiety caused by caffeine.
• Probiotics should be taken after taking the full course of Dependal-M Tablet in order to restore some healthy bacteria in the intestines that may have been killed. Taking probiotics after antibiotic treatment can reduce the risk of antibiotic-associated diarrhea. Certain fermented foods like yogurt, cheese, sauerkraut, kombucha and kimchi can help restore the intestine's good bacteria. 
• Include more fiber-enriched food in your diet, as it can be easily digested by your gut bacteria, which helps stimulate their growth. Thus, fiber-rich foods may help restore healthy gut bacteria after a course of antibiotics. Whole grains like whole-grain bread, brown rice should be included in your diet. Make sure you drink plenty of water or other fluids every day while you are taking Dependal-M Tablet .
• Avoid intake of alcoholic beverages with Dependal-M Tablet as it can make you dehydrated and may affect your sleep. This can make it harder for your body to aid the Dependal-M Tablet in fighting off infections.
