About Cabdual-40 Tablet

Cabdual-40 Tablet is an anti-cancer medicine used in the treatment of renal cell carcinoma. It is a disease in which cancer cells grow uncontrollably in the kidney and form a tumor. Cabdual-40 Tablet is used in treating advanced renal cell carcinoma as first-line therapy for advanced renal cell carcinoma in combination with nivolumab and hepatocellular carcinoma in patients who have previously been treated with sorafenib.

Cabdual-40 Tablet contains Cabozantinib as an active ingredient, which belongs to the class of medicines known as kinase inhibitors. It works by inhibiting the action of an enzyme (tyrosine kinase) and thus stops the abnormal growth of cancer cells.

Cabdual-40 Tablet may cause certain side effects such as diarrhea, decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, increased blood pressure, muscle cramps, decreased weight, dizziness, and constipation. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects bother you. Cabdual-40 Tablet should be taken as advised by your doctor.

Avoid taking Cabdual-40 Tablet if you are allergic to it or any other components of it. Before taking Cabdual-40 Tablet , inform your doctor if you have/had liver or kidney disease, gastrointestinal disorders, heart problems, blood or bleeding disorders, open or healing wounds, and a history of recent surgery. Uses of Cabdual-40 Tablet

Treatment of Renal Cell Carcinoma and Hepatocellular carcinoma

Directions for Use

Take Cabdual-40 Tablet as prescribed by the doctor. It should be taken at least one hour before food or 2 hours after food. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, break, or chew the medicine. Avoid taking more than the prescribed dose of medicine.

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Cabdual-40 Tablet may include memory loss, confusion, and weight loss. Seek immediate medical attention if you observe any symptoms or think you have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort.

Drug Warnings

To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Cabdual-40 Tablet for the period that your doctor has prescribed. Caution should be exercised if you have/had liver or kidney disease, any planned surgery, heart disease, blood or bleeding disorders, open/healing of wound, or gastrointestinal disorders. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant before starting the treatment, as this medicine is known to cause embryo-fetal toxicity. Cabdual-40 Tablet may cause hypertension, thrombotic events, hemorrhagic events, gastrointestinal perforation and fistula, Reversible Posterior Leukoencephalopathy Syndrome (RPLS), hepatotoxicity, severe diarrhoea, Osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ), Palmar-Plantar Erythrodysesthesia (PPE), adrenal insufficiency, impaired wound healing, and proteinuria in some patients. Hence, inform your doctor about your complete medication and medical history before taking Cabdual-40 Tablet . Breastfeeding should be discontinued in nursing mothers during the treatment as it passes into breast milk and may cause a possible risk to the infant. Avoid driving and operating machines, as this medicine may cause dizziness. This medicine is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age as the safety and efficacy are not established.
