Biotic-O Ear Drop 5 ml is used to treat bacterial and fungal infections of the ear. An ear infection occurs when bacteria or fungi affect the middle or outer ear, leading to pain and inflammation. Ear infections can be painful due to inflammation and fluid build-up.

Biotic-O Ear Drop 5 ml is a combination of four drugs, namely: Beclomethasone (corticosteroid), Clotrimazole (antifungal), Lidocaine (local anaesthetic), and Gentamicin (antibiotic). Beclomethasone works by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. Thereby reducing the redness and swelling caused due to bacterial infections. Clotrimazole works by damaging the fungal cell membranes and killing fungi. Lidocaine decreases pain sensation by preventing pain signals from reaching the brain. Gentamicin works by inhibiting the production of essential proteins necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thereby, it destroys bacteria. 

Use Biotic-O Ear Drop 5 ml as prescribed by your doctor. Biotic-O Ear Drop 5 ml is only for use in ears. You are advised to use Biotic-O Ear Drop 5 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. Biotic-O Ear Drop 5 ml may cause side effects such as mild irritation, stinging, or burning sensation in the ear. Most of these side effects of Biotic-O Ear Drop 5 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

You are recommended to complete the full course of treatment as discontinuing Biotic-O Ear Drop 5 ml suddenly may worsen the infection. Avoid contact with Biotic-O Ear Drop 5 ml by nose, mouth, or eyes. In case of accidental contact with these areas, rinse with water thoroughly. If you experience ear discharge, drainage, or worsening pain, stop using Biotic-O Ear Drop 5 ml, and please consult a doctor immediately. Please do not touch the container's tip to the ear or surrounding areas as it may contaminate Biotic-O Ear Drop 5 ml. Use the solution within 1 month after opening the container. If you are using any other drops or remedies in the ear, inform your doctor before using Biotic-O Ear Drop 5 ml.

• Do not poke or scratch the ear, as it can cause damage to the ear canal, leading to inflammation. The inflamed skin can be infected by bacteria or fungi, which can cause infections in the ear.
• Wash your hands often.
• Avoid second-hand smoke.
• Stay healthy as immunity prevents infections.
