You are advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery after taking AMICIN 100MG INJECTION as it may cause dizziness. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before taking AMICIN 100MG INJECTION. The doctor will prescribe you AMICIN 100MG INJECTION only if the benefits outweigh the potential risks.

Drug-Drug Interactions: AMICIN 100MG INJECTION may have interaction with water pills/diuretics (furosemide, ethacrynic acid), pain killers (indomethacin, aspirin, lidocaine), antibiotics (like penicillin, kanamycin, gentamycin, ceftriaxone, vancomycin); vitamin supplements (like thiamine), anti-cancer drugs (like cisplatin).

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have dehydration, neuromuscular blockade (blockage of the neuromuscular transmission at the junction), ototoxicity (ear toxicity/ear dysfunction) and renal dysfunction (kidney problems).

• Antibiotics can alter the useful bacteria in the stomach which help in digestion. Therefore, you are advised to take foods rich in probiotics such as yoghurt/curd, kefir, sauerkraut, tempeh, kimchi, miso, kombucha, buttermilk, natto and cheese.
• Eat fibre-rich food such as whole grains, beans, lentils, berries, broccoli, peas and bananas.
• Avoid foods rich in calcium, grapefruit and grapefruit juice as they might hinder the absorption of antibiotics.
• Avoid consumption of alcohol and usage of tobacco.

• You are advised to be well hydrated before and during the treatment with AMICIN 100MG INJECTION.
