• Make sure your hands are clean before unwrapping the tampon.
• Unwrap the tampon holding it by the rounded end with the string hanging down.
• Find a comfortable position, such as sitting on the toilet or standing with one leg elevated.
• With your other hand, gently separate the folds of skin around the vaginal opening.
• Place the rounded end of the tampon into the vaginal opening and push it in towards your back.
• Use your fingertip to push the tampon inside until the string is the only part remaining outside the body.
