Z-Cal A Tablet belongs to the class of 'Nutritional supplements', primarily used to treat low blood calcium levels. Z-Cal A Tablet is useful in osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones) and prevents inflammation in bone and joint diseases. Osteoporosis is a bone disease that makes the bones weak and brittle by decreasing bone density.

Z-Cal A Tablet consists of Calcium (mineral) and Curcuma longa extract. Calcium is a mineral used to prevent or treat calcium deficiency. It decreases the activity of inflammation-causing substances in the body. It also prevents DNA damage and disease progression.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Z-Cal A Tablet may interact with anticoagulants (warfarin), antibiotics (ceftriaxone, quinolones, tetracyclines), HIV/AIDS medicines (dolutegravir), hormones (levothyroxine), antidiabetics, and high blood pressure medicines (amlodipine).

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid or reduce the intake of caffeine, soft drinks, and alcohol that inhibit calcium absorption.

• Include dairy products like milk, yoghurt, cheese or milk-based custard in your diet.

• Eat daily a serving of broccoli, cabbage, bok choy, spinach and other green leafy vegetables.
• Snack on calcium-rich nuts like Brazil nuts or almonds. 
• Sprinkle sesame seeds over your food, vegetables and salads. Sesame seeds are high in calcium.
• Avoid or reduce the intake of caffeine, soft drinks and alcohol that inhibit calcium absorption.
• Replace the meat with tofu or tempeh for extra calcium in your food.
