Spirex Forte Tablet belongs to the class of nutritional supplements, primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. Spirex Forte Tablet effectively treats various conditions caused by low calcium levels in the body, like Vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones), and rickets or osteomalacia (softening or deforming of bones due to lack of calcium).

Spirex Forte Tablet consists of Elemental Calcium (mineral), Vitamin D3, and Elemental Zinc. Elemental Calcium is a mineral used to prevent or treat a calcium deficiency. In some cases, it may cause common side effects like constipation, nausea, vomiting, and stomach upset. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. Drinking alcohol can affect calcium absorption; therefore, it is advised to limit alcohol intake while using Spirex Forte Tablet . Children should be given this supplement only when advised by the doctor. 

Drug-Drug Interaction: Spirex Forte Tablet may interact with antacids, antibiotics (ceftriaxone, penicillamine), heart-related medicines (digoxin), HIV/AIDS medicines (dolutegravir, ritonavir), hormones (levothyroxine), anti-cancer drugs (cisplatin), water-pills, and calcium channel blocker (verapamil).

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid or reduce the intake of caffeine, soft drinks and alcohol as they may inhibit calcium absorption.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Spirex Forte Tablet is not recommended in hypercalcaemia, hypervitaminosis D, and Vitamin D toxicity. Please consult your doctor for more advice.

• Include dairy products like milk, yoghurt, cheese or milk-based custard in your diet.

• Eat daily a serving of broccoli, cabbage, bok choy, spinach and other green leafy vegetables.

• Include the best dietary sources of vitamin D, such as fish liver oils and vitamin D–fortified milk.

• Snack on calcium-rich nuts like Brazil nuts or almonds. 

• Sprinkle sesame seeds over your food, vegetables and salads. Sesame seeds are high in calcium.

• Avoid or reduce the intake of caffeine, soft drinks and alcohol as they may inhibit calcium absorption.

• Replace the meat with tofu or tempeh for extra calcium in your food.

It is advised to timely monitor your Vitamin D levels through blood examination.

Calcium deficiency: A calcium deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb or get enough calcium from food. This condition occurs when a person's calcium intake is lesser than the body's recommended requirement.
