Rectol-80 mg Suppositories belongs to the group of analgesics (pain killers), and antipyretics (fever-reducing agents) used to treat mild to moderate pain and fever in adults and children weighing at least 7kgs. Pain and fever are caused by the activation of pain receptors due to the release of certain natural chemicals in the body like prostaglandins. 

Rectol-80 mg Suppositories contains 'Paracetamol' which prevents the release of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause pain and inflammation. Thus, relieves pain. Rectol-80 mg Suppositories also acts as an antipyretic agent by affecting the chemical messengers in the brain that regulate body temperature. Thereby, reduces fever.

Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of Rectol-80 mg Suppositories based on your condition. In some cases, Rectol-80 mg Suppositories may cause side effects like rash, soreness in or around the rectum/anus, and itching.
