Medineuron-LC Tablet belongs to the class of 'nutritional supplements' primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies due to various complications or long-term diseases. A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body does not absorb or get enough nutrients from food. Nutrient deficiency can lead to many health problems like a weakened immune system, skin problems, digestion problems, defective bone growth, and neurological diseases.

Medineuron-LC Tablet contains folic acid, levocarnitine, and mecobalamin. Folic acid (vitamin B9) replenishes the deficient folic acid in the body. It helps in the production of healthy red blood cells and DNA. Levocarnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid derivative that helps your body turn fat into energy. It works by improving the low levels of carnitine in the body. Mecobalamin (vitamin B12) regulates body functions like cell growth, blood formation, and protein synthesis. It also prevents nerve damage by forming a protective layer (myelin) around the nerves.

Take Medineuron-LC Tablet as prescribed. The common side-effects of Medineuron-LC Tablet are diarrhoea, nausea (feeling sick), and vomiting. These side effects are mild and don’t require medical attention. However, inform your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen.

Do not take Medineuron-LC Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents. Before taking Medineuron-LC Tablet , inform your doctor if you are taking any prescription, non-prescription medicines, herbal products, or dietary supplements. Inform your doctor if you have malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food), cancer, kidney dialysis, optic nerve damage, hypokalemia (low potassium levels in the blood), and stent in the heart. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Let your doctor know if you have a history of seizures (fits), liver disease, kidney disease, cancer, obesity, hypokalemia, optic nerve damage, or diabetes before using Medineuron-LC Tablet . Please inform your doctor if you are using any prescription and non-prescription medications, including vitamins, and herbal supplements. Do not take Medineuron-LC Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Do not take antacids before or after 2 hours of taking Medineuron-LC Tablet as they may interfere with the action of Medineuron-LC Tablet . 

Drug-drug interactions: Medineuron-LC Tablet may interact with an antibiotic (chloramphenicol), anticancer agent (methotrexate and fluorouracil), blood thinners (warfarin), anti-gout medicine (colchicine), antacids (cimetidine, omeprazole, lansoprazole, and ranitidine), a medicine used to treat diabetes (metformin), a medicine used to treat inflammatory bowel conditions (sulfasalazine), a medicine used to reduce cholesterol (cholestyramine), and antiepileptic drugs (phenytoin and fosphenytoin).

Drug-food interactions: Medineuron-LC Tablet may interact with alcohol.

Drug-disease interactions: Medineuron-LC Tablet should be used with caution in patients with malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food), cancer, neural tube defects, kidney dialysis, optic nerve damage, diabetes, obesity, hypokalemia (low potassium levels in the blood), and stent in the heart.

• Try Vitamin B complex food sources like milk, cheese, eggs, liver and kidney, chicken, red meat, tuna, mackerel, salmon, shellfish, oysters, clams, dark green vegetables such as spinach and kale, beets, avocados, potatoes, whole grains, cereals, kidney beans, black beans, and chickpea.
• Include fruits like citrus, banana, and watermelon in your diet.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Exercise regularly, and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Avoid excess fatty foods.

• Serum levels of mecobalamin present in Medineuron-LC Tablet may be lowered by the use of oral contraceptives.
• Monitor your blood glucose levels regularly while using Medineuron-LC Tablet .
