Leofer Plus Tablet belongs to a class of medications called 'haematinics' used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) due to iron deficiency and chronic kidney disease. Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry the adequate oxygen required to various body tissues.

Leofer Plus Tablet contains Ferrous ascorbate, which is a combination of iron and vitamin C. Iron works by replenishing iron stores, and vitamin C enhances iron absorption in the body. Thus, Leofer Plus Tablet helps to treat iron deficiency.

Take Leofer Plus Tablet as advised by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea or dark-coloured stool. Most of these side effects of Leofer Plus Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

• Eat a healthy diet, especially green leafy vegetables, and do regular physical exercise.

• Limit junk food items from outside and stick to freshly prepared home-cooked meals.

• Increase intake of fruits in your diet especially fruits rich in iron like pomegranate, citrus fruits.

• Drink plenty of fluids to keep yourself hydrated.

• Avoid consumption of alcohol.
