Laxit Syrup is a laxative used to treat constipation. It softens the stools and makes them easier to pass. It is also used to provide relief from heartburn, indigestion, gastritis, acidity, and stomach upset.
Laxit Syrup contains liquid paraffin, magnesium hydroxide, simethicone, and sodium carboxymethylcellulose. It works by absorbing water into the bowel and making it easy to pass stools.
Laxit Syrup may cause certain side effects like loss of appetite, weakness, stomach upset, abdominal discomfort and diarrhoea. Talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any of the components in it. Let your doctor know if you have any history of low phosphate levels, high magnesium levels, or kidney or liver problems. Consult your doctor before using Laxit Syrup if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
