Intafol D Capsule 10's

Intafol D Capsule is a nutritional supplement that fulfills your daily dose of multivitamins and minerals intake. It helps treat nutritional deficiencies caused due to poor intake of nutrients from food or other illnesses. It contains L-Methyl folate, Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12), Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol), and Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6). It is primarily indicated in pregnancy and lactation to prevent neurological disorders and reduce preterm birth risk.

• L-Methyl Folate prevents low folate levels in the body. It helps prevent infant spinal cord birth defects through folic acid supplementation in women of childbearing age. It is essential for the development of cognitive abilities.
• Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega fatty acid that controls cholesterol levels and thus improves cardiovascular health. It is also beneficial in developing the brain and eyes during pregnancy and reduces the risk of preterm birth.
• Pyridoxine is involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism and the creation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. It also helps in cognitive development through the biosynthesis of neurotransmitters and maintains normal homocysteine levels (an amino acid in the blood).
• Methylcobalamin treats hyperhomocysteinemia (high levels of homocysteine in the blood) and regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis. It helps in the rejuvenation and protection of damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. 
• Vitamin D3/Cholecalciferol maintains blood calcium and phosphorus levels and mineralization of bone. It is used to treat and prevent bone disorders, such as rickets and osteomalacia. It aids calcium absorption enabling bone growth and repair. It further prevents cartilage degeneration.

Take medicine in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Please do not take more than the daily recommended dosage. Swallow the tablet/capsule as a whole with a glass of water, preferably with meals or as directed by the physician. Do not try to break/crush/chew the tablet.

Side effects 

Use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Sometimes, you may experience common side effects like:

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea

These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these symptoms persist or worsen, please consult your doctor promptly.
