Grandred XT Tablet works by increasing red blood cells (RBC) and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBC is produced in the body, so that body's each tissue gets sufficient supply of oxygen.

Take Grandred XT Tablet as advised by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, stomach upset or dark coloured stool. Most of these side effects of Grandred XT Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Directions for Use

Tablet: Take it with or without food as advised by your doctor, and swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it.Syrup/Suspension: Shake the bottle well before use. Take the recommended dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper provided by the pack.

Coadministration of Grandred XT Tablet 10's and Fluorouracil may increase the effects of Fluorouracil and increase the risk of serious side effects such as bleeding problems, anaemia (lack of blood), infections, and nerve damage.

How to manage the interaction:
Although there is a possible interaction between Grandred XT Tablet 10's and Fluorouracil, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if you experience diarrhoea, paleness of skin, severe nausea and vomiting, over-tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body pains, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling in your hands and feet, contact your doctor.

FAQs

Grandred XT Tablet is used for the treatment of anaemia.
You are not recommended to take Grandred XT Tablet with coffee, tea or dairy products at the same time as they may reduce the absorption of Grandred XT Tablet . However, you may drink coffee or tea 2 hours before or after taking Grandred XT Tablet .
You are not recommended to take Grandred XT Tablet with phenytoin as co-administration of these two medicines may reduce the concentration of Grandred XT Tablet in blood and increase the risk of seizures (fits). However, please consult a doctor before taking Grandred XT Tablet with phenytoin.
