About Folinext D Capsule

Folinext D Capsule is used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It is used to treat and prevent vitamin B6 deficiency, folate deficiency and vitamin B12 deficiency. Folinext D Capsule effectively treats various conditions caused by a lack of vitamins, such as anaemia (lack of red blood cells), peripheral neuropathy (nerve disorder), seizures (fits), hyperoxaluria (excess oxalate levels in urine), homocystinuria (accumulation of an amino acid called homocysteine in urine and blood), cyanide poisoning and hyperhomocysteinemia (high levels of homocysteine in the blood). This medicine is also suggested for boosting the memory and thinking ability of infants and helping develop the brain and eyes in a child during pregnancy.

Folinext D Capsule contains three medicines, namely Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), Folic acid and Methylcobalamin. DHA plays an essential role in the development of the brain and is vital during pregnancy and infancy. DHA omega-3 fatty acids (oils) reduce excess cholesterol levels in the body, thereby keeping the heart, brain and nerves healthy. DHA is usually located in cell membranes, which helps make more cell membranes that make it easier for nerve cells found in the brain to receive and send electric signals. Folic acid is the synthetic form of folate. Folate is a water-soluble vitamin naturally found in food sources. It helps form red blood cells and prevents DNA changes that may lead to cancer. It prevents and treats low blood levels of folate (folate deficiency) and high blood levels of amino acid, homocysteine (hyperhomocysteinemia). Methylcobalamin, a form of vitamin B12, protects the nerves from damage and promotes blood cell production.

Take Folinext D Capsule as prescribed by your doctor. You should take Folinext D Capsule as long as your doctor has prescribed it after checking your medical condition. Folinext D Capsule may cause side effects such as nausea (feeling sick), vomiting (being sick), diarrhoea, anorexia (loss of appetite), headache, weight loss, fatigue, bloating and flatulence. These side effects are usually mild and do not require any medical attention. However, if any of these side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor immediately.

Do not take Folinext D Capsule if you are allergic to any of its contents. Do not take Folinext D Capsule , if you have hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium in the blood), osteoporosis (thin and brittle bones), metastatic calcification (extra deposits of calcium in the body), kidney problems, cancer, undergone surgery, optic nerve damage. You are not well due to high levels of vitamin D. Also, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Uses of Folinext D Capsule

Treatment of Nutritional deficiencies

Medicinal Benefits

Folinext D Capsule contains three medicines, namely Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), Folic acid and Methylcobalamin. DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid that is naturally found in cells. It is an essential component of the skin, eyes and brain. It plays a vital role in developing the brain during pregnancy and infancy. It is also used in treating high cholesterol levels in the body. It does so by reducing the thickness of the blood and lowering the body's levels of triglycerides. Folic acid is a man-made form of folate, a naturally occurring B vitamin. It helps in making DNA and other genetic material of the body. It also helps to make healthy new red blood cells that avoid the risk of anaemia (folate deficiency). It is crucial to consume folic acid during pregnancy to fulfil the requirement of blood required for the baby's development. Methylcobalamin is a coenzyme form of vitamin B12 and treats Vitamin B12 deficiency, cyanide poisoning, and hyperhomocysteinemia. It regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation and protein synthesis. It is used in the treatment of alcoholic neuropathy, pernicious anaemia (red blood cells are not produced due to Vitamin B12 deficiency), diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage due to high blood sugar levels) and multiple sclerosis (immune system disease affecting the brain). Folinext D Capsule is a good supplement for the person who doesn't eat fish as recommended by the health authorities.

Disease/Condition Glossary

Nutritional deficiencies: A nutritional deficiency occurs when your body does not absorb or get enough food nutrients. Many nutrients are essential for a healthy life. Sometimes your body cannot absorb many nutrients even if you consume them. Nutrient deficiency can lead to many health problems like a weakened immune system, skin problems, heart problems, kidney diseases, respiratory illnesses, or neurological diseases. During pregnancy, a woman's body requires more vitamins, folic acid and DHA for the baby's development, so taking nutrients helps develop the baby.

FAQs

Folinext D Capsule belongs to the class of 'Vitamins,' primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies.
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 fatty acid. It is a natural part of cells and is an important component of the skin, eyes and brain. It plays an important role in developing the brain during pregnancy and infancy. It is also used in treating high cholesterol levels in the body. It does so by reducing the thickness of the blood and lowering the body's levels of triglycerides.
Usually, every person should take foods that boost the production of folate in their body, or they can take it directly in the form of supplements. However, women who can become pregnant should focus more on their intake. If a woman who can be pregnant has enough folic acid in her body before her pregnancy, then it can help to avoid the risk of major birth defects in her baby's brain and spine.
DHA is good for health, and a person should consume it from either food and supplements or both as the body cannot produce the required DHA (2 grams) by the body. It also helps to prevent or treat health diseases and high cholesterol levels in the body.
Folinext D Capsule is possibly safe when used in patients with thyroid problems. However, inform your doctor before taking this medicine as Folinext D Capsule may interact with levothyroxine used to treat hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid).
Folinext D Capsule can be safely used in patients with diabetes unless you have other problems, such as kidney or bone-related problems. So, it is recommended to inform your doctor before taking Folinext D Capsule to avoid any risks.
