About Fenlong-MR Liniment

Fenlong-MR Liniment is used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, strain, sprain, arthritis, and low back pain. Musculoskeletal pain could occur due to arthritis, osteoporosis, fractures, dislocations, problems with the bone structure or injury to the bones, joints, tendons, muscles, and ligaments. Arthritis is a joint disease in which the two ends of the joints come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering called cartilage.

Fenlong-MR Liniment contains Diclofenac diethylamine, Capsaicin, Mephenesin, Camphor, and Menthol. Diclofenac diethylamine blocks chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. Mephenesin relieves muscle spasms/stiffness by acting on the centres of the brain and spinal cord. Capsaicin exerts an analgesic effect by blocking the pain messengers of the nerves. Camphor and Menthol provide a cooling sensation by dilating the blood vessels, followed by an analgesic effect. It also enhances the penetration of drugs. Together, Fenlong-MR Liniment helps in providing relief from pain.

You are advised to use Fenlong-MR Liniment for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, Fenlong-MR Liniment may cause common side-effects such as application site reactions like itching, irritation, redness, and burning sensation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Fenlong-MR Liniment is for external use only. Avoid contact of Fenlong-MR Liniment with eyes, nose and mucous membrane; if contact occurs, wash with water immediately. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Fenlong-MR Liniment is not recommended for children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Avoid or limit exposure to natural or artificial sunlight as Fenlong-MR Liniment may cause ultraviolet light-induced skin tumours.

Uses of Fenlong-MR Liniment

Treatment of Pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal and joint disorders

Medicinal Benefits

Fenlong-MR Liniment is a combination of five drugs, namely: Diclofenac diethylamine, Capsaicin, Mephenesin, Camphor, and Menthol. Fenlong-MR Liniment is used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, strain, sprain, arthritis, and low back pain. Diclofenac diethylamine works by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make other chemical prostaglandins. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, lesser prostaglandins are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Together, Fenlong-MR Liniment helps in providing relief from pain and inflammation.
