Europin Gel

Europin Gel is a combination medicine used to treat neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain is a chronic, progressive nerve condition in which the neurological system is injured or malfunctioning, resulting in nerve pain. Amputation of limbs, diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage caused by high blood sugar levels), alcoholism (abundant alcohol consumption), and chemotherapy can all cause neuropathic pain.

Europin Gel combines three medications: Baclofen, Gabapentin, and Lidocaine. Baclofen is a skeletal muscle relaxant that relaxes muscles to relieve pain and discomfort. Gabapentin helps to relieve nerve pain by binding to a specific location on voltage-gated calcium channels. Lidocaine alleviates pain by blocking pain signals from nerves to the brain. Thereby, Europin Gel aids in the relief of neuropathic pain.

Europin Gel is only for external use. Depending on your medical condition, you should use Europin Gel for as long as your doctor prescribes it. Some common side effects, such as itching, irritation, redness, and a burning sensation at the application site, may occur. These side effects do not necessitate medical attention and will gradually subside. However, you should consult your doctor if you are experiencing these side effects regularly.

Do not use Europin Gel without a doctor's advice if you have a skin reaction or irritation to any medicine. Consult your doctor before using Europin Gel if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. • Unless otherwise instructed by the doctor, do not use Europin Gel on dressings, band-aids, or make-up.
• If Europin Gel comes into contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth, immediately rinse with water.
• Wash your hands before and after using Europin Gel; however, do not wash your hands if you apply Europin Gel to them.
• Europin Gel should not be used on wounds, cuts, damaged skin, or scrapes.
• Avoid using Europin Gel along with a heating pad.

Neuropathic pain: Neuropathic pain is a nervous system disorder caused by sensory nerve damage. It is brought on by chronic progressive nerve disease, infection, or injury. The pain can be intermittent or continuous, and it can feel like a prickling, stabbing, tingling, or burning sensation. Neuropathic pain is also associated with numbness and loss of sensation. Symptoms include unprovoked pain, an unpleasant sensation, shooting, burning, or stabbing pain, difficulty resting or sleeping, and evoked pain (pain caused by events that are usually not painful).
