About Eryphy 12 mg Tablet

Eryphy 12 mg Tablet belongs to a class of medications called 'haematinics' used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) due to iron deficiency and chronic kidney disease. Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry the adequate oxygen required to various body tissues.

Eryphy 12 mg Tablet contains Ferrous ascorbate, which is a combination of iron and vitamin C. Iron works by replenishing iron stores, and vitamin C enhances iron absorption in the body. Thus, Eryphy 12 mg Tablet helps to treat iron deficiency.

Take Eryphy 12 mg Tablet as advised by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea or dark-coloured stool. Most of these side effects of Eryphy 12 mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Eryphy 12 mg Tablet contains Ferrous ascorbate, which is a combination of iron and vitamin C. Iron works by replenishing iron stores by increasing red blood cells (RBC) and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs are produced in the body so that each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen. Thus, it replenishes iron stores in the body. Vitamin C enhances iron absorption in the body. Thereby, Eryphy 12 mg Tablet helps to treat iron deficiency.

Directions for Use

Take this medicine with or without food as advised by your doctor. Shake the bottle well before use and take the recommended dose with the help of a measuring cup/dropper provided with the pack.

Drug-Drug Interaction: Eryphy 12 mg Tablet may have interaction with anticonvulsants (phenytoin), antibiotics (chloramphenicol, levofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, doxycycline, minocycline), bisphosphonates (alendronate), medicines used to lower high blood pressure (methyldopa), thyroid medicine (levothyroxine), antiparkinsonian agent (levodopa).

Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid intake of dairy products, coffee or tea with Eryphy 12 mg Tablet at the same time as they may reduce the absorption of Eryphy 12 mg Tablet .

Drug-Disease Interaction: If you have a stomach ulcer, kidney problems, metabolic disorders, or intestinal or stomach problems, inform your doctor before taking Eryphy 12 mg Tablet .
