DV K Plus Capsule belongs to the class of 'nutritional supplements', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. DV K Plus Capsule is a combination of Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3), Folic acid, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (vitamin B6), Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12), and Elemental Zinc. Cholecalciferol is a form of Vitamin D and helps maintain blood calcium and phosphorus levels and mineralization of bone. Folic acid is a form of Vitamin B that helps form red blood cells and prevents DNA changes that may lead to cancer. Pyridoxine hydrochloride is a water-soluble vitamin involved in protein, fat, and carbohydrate metabolism and the formation of red blood cells and neurotransmitters. Mecobalamin/Methylcobalamin regulates body functions like cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis. Elemental Zinc is a mineral that promotes the growth and development of body tissues.

Your doctor will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. Sometimes, DV K Plus Capsule may have common side effects like numbness/tingling of hands or feet, upset stomach, diarrhoea, and nausea. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. 

Let your doctor know if you use any other medications, including vitamins, before starting DV K Plus Capsule . Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to DV K Plus Capsule or other medicines. Inform your doctor beforehand if you have a history of liver, heart, or kidney diseases and a scheduled surgery. It is essential to let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using DV K Plus Capsule . Avoid consuming alcohol along with DV K Plus Capsule to ensure maximum absorption of nutrients. DV K Plus Capsule should be used in children only when the doctor has advised.

DV K Plus Capsule treats nutritional deficiencies and contains Cholecalciferol, Folic acid, Pyridoxine hydrochloride, Methylcobalamin, and Elemental Zinc. Cholecalciferol helps maintain blood calcium and phosphorus levels and mineralization of bone. It treats and prevents bone disorders, such as rickets and osteomalacia. Folic acid helps form red blood cells and prevents DNA changes that may lead to cancer. It treats folate deficiency and hyperhomocysteinemia (high blood levels of amino acids, homocysteine). Methylcobalamin regulates body functions and is used to treat pernicious anemia (red blood cells are not produced due to Vitamin B12 deficiency), neuropathy (nerve damage), and multiple sclerosis (immune system disease affecting the brain). Elemental Zinc is a mineral that promotes the growth and development of body tissues. It boosts the immune system, reduces inflammation, and maintains metabolic function.

Drug-Drug Interaction: DV K Plus Capsule may interact with anti-cancer drugs (altretamine, cisplatin), fits medicines (phenytoin, phenobarbital), Parkinson's disease medication (levodopa), tumor treating drugs (Fluorouracil), antibiotics (trimethoprim, penicillamine, chloramphenicol), stomach related drugs (sulfasalazine), anti-viral medicines (ritonavir), and cholesterol-lowering drugs (cholestyramine).

Drug-Food Interaction: Excessive alcohol consumption reduces the absorption and increases the elimination of folic acid. Hence, please avoid alcohol while using DV K Plus Capsule .

Drug-Disease Interaction: Before using DV K Plus Capsule , let your doctor know if you have any heart, liver or kidney diseases, cancer, fits, alcohol dependence, and other pre-existing medical conditions.

• Try Vitamin B complex food sources like milk, cheese, eggs, liver and kidney, chicken, red meat, tuna, mackerel, salmon, shellfish, oysters, clams, dark green vegetables, such as spinach and kale, beets, avocados, potatoes, whole grains, cereals, kidney beans, black beans, and chickpea.
• Try folate-rich food sources like broccoli, Brussels sprouts, leafy green vegetables, cabbage, kale, spring greens, spinach, peas, chickpeas, kidney beans, liver (avoid this during pregnancy), and breakfast cereals fortified with folic acid.
• Include the best dietary sources of vitamin D, such as fish liver oils and vitamin D–fortified milk.
• Include dairy products like milk, yoghurt, cheese or milk-based custard in your diet.
• Sprinkle sesame and sunflower seeds over your food, vegetables and salads. 
• Include fruits like citrus, banana, and watermelon in your diet.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.
• Exercise regularly and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Avoid excess fatty foods. 

Let your doctor and the laboratory staff know if you are using DV K Plus Capsule since Pyridoxine may interfere with laboratory tests like urine tests for urobilinogen.
