Diclostat Ultra Gel belongs to a class of NSAIDs (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) primarily used to relieve joint pain due to arthritis. Arthritis is a joint disease in which the two ends of the joints come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering called cartilage. Arthritis is the swelling and tenderness (pain on touching) of one or more joints characterized by joint pain and stiffness, which typically worsen with age.

Diclostat Ultra Gel contains Diclofenac sodium, Methyl salicylate and Menthol. Diclofenac sodium and Methyl salicylate work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain, responsible for causing pain and symptoms of inflammation. Menthol works initially by cooling the skin, followed by warming it up. This action helps in improving blood circulation and provides relief from pain.

Diclostat Ultra Gel is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Like all medicines, Diclostat Ultra Gel can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. You might experience side effects such as burning or stinging sensation, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. Most of these side effects of Diclostat Ultra Gel do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Do not use Diclostat Ultra Gel if you are allergic to any of the contents. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using Diclostat Ultra Gel. Avoid contact of Diclostat Ultra Gel with eyes, nose, and mouth. If contact occurs, wash with water immediately. Do not use Diclostat Ultra Gel if you have had any recent heart surgery as Diclostat Ultra Gel can increase your risk of fatal heart attack or stroke. Diclostat Ultra Gel may increase the chances of stomach ulcers and bleeding. 

Diclostat Ultra Gel is a combination of three medicines, namely: Diclofenac sodium, Methyl salicylate and Menthol. Diclostat Ultra Gel is used to relieve pain and inflammation in joint disorders. If you have a severe allergy to painkillers or if you develop conditions like asthma, rhinitis, angioedema (swelling under the skin), or skin rashes, avoid using Diclostat Ultra Gel. Inform your doctor if you have stomach ulcers, gastric bleeding, severe heart failure, high blood pressure, muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis), sleeping disorder (sleep apnoea), liver or kidney disease. Consult your doctor before starting Diclostat Ultra Gel if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Medicines like blood thinners (warfarin, aspirin), diuretics (furosemide) and heart-related medicine (digoxin) may interact with Diclostat Ultra Gel. So, if you are taking these medicines, make sure to inform your doctor before starting Diclostat Ultra Gel.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform your doctor if you have a peptic ulcer, gastric bleeding, severe heart failure, or high blood pressure.

• Include more glucosamine, chondroitin sulfate, vitamin D, and calcium-enriched supplements. Besides this, turmeric and fish oils can help in reducing inflammation in the tissue.
• Do not go for heavy exercise as it may increase your joint pain in arthritis. Instead, you can do stretching, and low-impact aerobic exercises like walking on a treadmill, bike riding, and swimming. You can also strengthen your muscle by lifting light weights.
• In chronic conditions of arthritis or joint pain, try to include fish like salmon, trout, tuna, and sardines. These fishes are enriched with omega-3 fatty acids that contain chemicals called cytokines, which ramp up inflammation.
• Your sitting posture is important, especially when you have pain and inflammation. Try to sit as little as possible, and only for a short time (10-15 min). Use back support like a rolled-up towel at the back of your curve to minimize pain. Keep your knees and hips at a right angle. Besides this, you can use a footrest if required.

• Avoid contact of Diclostat Ultra Gel with your eyes, nose, or mouth. In case of accidental contact, immediately rinse it with cold water.
