Calcicare Tablet belongs to the class of 'nutritional supplements', primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. Calcicare Tablet effectively treats various conditions caused by low calcium levels in the body like Vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones), and rickets or osteomalacia (softening or deforming of bones due to lack of calcium).
Calcicare Tablet consists of Elemental Calcium (mineral), Calcitriol (Vitamin D3), and Elemental Zinc (mineral). Elemental Calcium is a mineral used to prevent or treat calcium deficiency. It provides essential nutrients necessary for bone formation and maintenance. Calcitriol is a synthetic version of Vitamin D3 that raises Vitamin D levels and thereby increases calcium levels in the blood. Elemental Zinc is a mineral that promotes the growth and development of body tissues.
Your doctor will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. Calcicare Tablet is likely safe to consume. In some cases, it may cause common side effects like constipation, nausea, vomiting, and stomach upset. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to Calcicare Tablet or its inactive components, please inform your doctor. Please tell your doctor if you have hypercalcaemia (high calcium levels), hypervitaminosis D (high vitamin D levels), heart/liver/blood vessel diseases, kidney stones, and malabsorption syndrome (difficulty absorbing nutrition from food) before starting Calcicare Tablet. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Calcicare Tablet. It is advised to limit alcohol consumption since it may affect calcium absorption. This supplement should be used in children only when advised by the doctor.
