Ascovit-C Vet Injection belongs to a class of medicines called nutritional supplements used to prevent and treat scurvy or other conditions requiring vitamin C supplementation where oral administration is difficult or the deficiency is acute. Scurvy is a condition caused by severe vitamin C deficiency in the diet. The symptoms include bleeding gums, bruising, tiredness, rash and weakness.
Ascovit-C Vet Injection contains Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) that works by increasing vitamin C levels in the body. Thus, it helps in treating vitamin C deficiency.
Ascovit-C Vet Injection will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience redness, pain or swelling at the injection site. Most of these side effects of Ascovit-C Vet Injection do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to Ascorbic acid or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Ascovit-C Vet Injection should be used in children only if prescribed by a doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult a doctor before using Ascovit-C Vet Injection. If you have any kidney problems, inform your doctor before taking Ascovit-C Vet Injection.
