ZOCON DROPS 5ML belongs to the class of antifungals primarily used to treat fungal eye infections. Fungal infections of the eye refer to conditions where fungi overgrow and infect the eye's tissues (such as the cornea or conjunctiva), leading to inflammation, discomfort and potentially serious complications if left untreated.

ZOCON DROPS 5ML contains Fluconazole, which kills fungus or yeast and prevents its growth by inhibiting the formation of fungal cell membranes. Thus, it treats fungal infections.

ZOCON DROPS 5ML should be used as your doctor has advised. It is an external preparation intended for use in the eyes. Sometimes, you may experience common side effects, such as a burning sensation in the eye, irritation, and blurred vision. Most of these side effects of ZOCON DROPS 5ML do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, contact your doctor.

ZOCON DROPS 5ML contains benzalkonium as a preservative, so it may cause eye irritation, especially if you have dry eyes or disorders of the cornea (the transparent layer at the front of the eye). After using this ZOCON DROPS 5ML, please inform your doctor if you feel stinging or pain in the eye or have abnormal eye sensations. Consult your doctor before using ZOCON DROPS 5ML if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. ZOCON DROPS 5ML is not recommended for children unless prescribed by a doctor. ZOCON DROPS 5ML may cause temporary vision problems (blurred vision). Be cautious while driving and operating machinery, or avoid doing such activities.

Tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Squeeze the prescribed number of drops into the pocket. Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes.

Inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Contact your doctor if the infection symptoms persist or worsen after two weeks of treatment.
