About Zo Eye Drops

Zo Eye Drops is used to treat bacterial eye infections, including conjunctivitis and ulcers of the cornea. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common bacterial eye infection associated with the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid. 

Zo Eye Drops contains Ofloxacin, which works by inhibiting DNA gyrase (bacterial enzyme) that is involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thereby, it kills bacteria and clears infection.

Use Zo Eye Drops as prescribed by your doctor. Zo Eye Drops is only for use in eyes. You are advised to use Zo Eye Drops for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience dry eyes, blurred vision, eye discomfort, eye redness, mild itching, or irritation in the eye. Most of these side effects of Zo Eye Drops do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Zo Eye Drops contains Ofloxacin, which is used to treat bacterial eye infections. Zo Eye Drops inhibits DNA gyrase (bacterial enzyme), which is involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thus, it kills bacteria and treats the infection.

Directions for Use

This medicine is for ophthalmic use only. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using Zo Eye Drops. Do not touch the container’s tip to the eye, eyelids, or surrounding areas, as it may contaminate the product.Eye drops: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes. Replace the outer cap after use. Eye ointment: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the ointment into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.

You are not recommended to wear contact lenses while using Zo Eye Drops as it contains benzalkonium chloride, a preservative that changes the colour of contact lens as it may be absorbed by soft contact lens. Benzalkonium chloride also causes irritation in the eye especially if you have disorders of cornea (transparent layer at the front of eye) or dry eyes. Therefore, you are advised to remove contact lenses before using Zo Eye Drops and reinsert them after 15 minutes after using Zo Eye Drops. Also, inform your doctor if you experience pain, stinging or abnormal sensation in the eye after using Zo Eye Drops.
Zo Eye Drops may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after using. Therefore, you are recommended to wait until your vision is clear before driving or operating machinery.
Zo Eye Drops is not used to treat fungal infection in the eye. Zo Eye Drops is only used to treat bacterial eye infections.
