Zitfix-M Gel 25 gm is used to treat acne. Acne or acne vulgaris is a long-term skin problem caused when hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. It leads to the formation of blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, oily skin and a scar on the uppermost layer of the skin (epidermis).

Zitfix-M Gel 25 gm is composed of two medicines: Metronidazole and Nicotinamide. Metronidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that are responsible for causing infections. It works by damaging their DNA. On the other hand, nicotinamide is a form of vitamin B. It exerts anti-inflammatory effects when applied to the skin and reduces swelling, redness and tenderness associated with acne. Some people may experience dry skin and application site reactions such as irritation, burning, redness, and itching). Drug-Drug Interaction: Zitfix-M Gel 25 gm may interact with a blood thinner (warfarin, dicoumarin), birth control pills (ethinyl estradiol), and antihyperlipidemic (atorvastatin ).

Drug-Disease Interaction: Zitfix-M Gel 25 gm may interact with liver disease.

• Avoid fried food or oil food and drink plenty of water

• It is advised to avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun.

• In case, it is necessary to go out in the sun, use sunscreen.

• Do not itch or scratch the infected area.

• Use moisturizer to prevent the occurrence of side effects

• Exercise regularly to reduce stress 

• Do not use Zitfix-M Gel 25 gm on broken, cut , abrasion or burnt skin.

• Do not apply just on the pimples, apply on the area effected by the pimples.
