Zitfix-M Gel 25 gm is used to treat acne. Acne or acne vulgaris is a long-term skin problem caused when hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. It leads to the formation of blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, oily skin and a scar on the uppermost layer of the skin (epidermis).

Zitfix-M Gel 25 gm is composed of two medicines: Metronidazole and Nicotinamide. Metronidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that are responsible for causing infections. It works by damaging their DNA. On the other hand, nicotinamide is a form of vitamin B. It exerts anti-inflammatory effects when applied to the skin and reduces swelling, redness and tenderness associated with acne.
