About Zandron 150 mg Tablet

Zandron 150 mg Tablet is an anti-androgen medicine used in the treatment of prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is a condition that occurs when the prostate gland cells increase abnormally. Symptoms may include difficulty in urinating, pain, numbness, etc. It is used in the treatment of metastatic prostate cancer in combination with surgical castration.

Zandron 150 mg Tablet contains Nilutamide, which belongs to the class of androgen inhibitors. It works by inhibiting the production of the testosterone hormone and thus stops the growth and spread of cancer. 

Zandron 150 mg Tablet may cause certain side effects such as nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhoea, muscle weakness, confusion, hot flushes, loss of appetite and difficulty breathing. These side effects usually disappear without any medical attention. Take Zandron 150 mg Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.

Zandron 150 mg Tablet should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have any pre-existing or a history of liver/kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, adrenocortical insufficiency, and respiratory problems before taking Zandron 150 mg Tablet . Directions for Use

Zandron 150 mg Tablet should be taken as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Swallow the medicine as a whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush or break the medicine. It is advised not to take more than the recommended dose of medicine.

  • This medicine may cause laboratory abnormalities like elevated alkaline phosphatase and hypokalemia.
