About Xylase Tablet

Xylase Tablet belongs to a class of medications known as digestive enzymes, which are used to treat pancreatic enzyme deficiency or pancreatic insufficiency. Pancreatic insufficiency is a condition in which the pancreas fails to produce enough of a specific enzyme required by the body to digest food in the small intestine. A lack of pancreatic enzymes causes indigestion, and you may also experience stomach pain, bloating, and a feeling of fullness.

Xylase Tablet is a combination medication that contains Pancreatin, Bile constituents, and Simethicone. Pancreatin and bile constituents are pancreatic enzyme supplements that thoroughly mix with food and aid in digestion. Simethicone is an antifoaming medication that disintegrates gas bubbles and allows gas to pass easily. As a result, it effectively treats pancreatic enzyme deficiency and its associated symptoms.

Please take Xylase Tablet in the dose and duration recommended by your doctor for your digestive disorder. The most common Xylase Tablet side effects are nausea, stomach pain, and diarrhoea. The majority of Xylase Tablet's side effects do not require medical attention and disappear over time. However, if the side effects persist, consult your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of Xylase Tablet. Tell your doctor if you have a history of acute pancreatitis (pancreas inflammation/swelling). Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before starting Xylase Tablet. It is unknown whether alcohol interacts with Xylase Tablet; however, it is best to avoid or limit alcohol consumption as a precaution. Xylase Tablet can be given to children only if prescribed by a doctor.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • To aid digestion, consume fibre-rich foods such as whole grains, beans, lentils, berries, broccoli, peas, and bananas.

  • Consume probiotic-rich foods like yoghurt/curd, kefir, sauerkraut, tempeh, kimchi, miso, kombucha, buttermilk, natto, and cheese.

  • Avoid overeating, eating too quickly, eating high-fat foods, and eating during stressful situations that can cause stomach discomfort.
