Verifica-DM Tablet is an antidiabetic medicine used to treat Type II Diabetes. About Verifica-DM Tablet

Verifica-DM Tablet is an antidiabetic medicine used to treat diabetes. It is used for the treatment of Type II Diabetes. Type II Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic condition that influences the body's metabolism of glucose or blood sugar. Insulin resistance or insufficient insulin production are the two main causes of type 2 diabetes.

Verifica-DM Tablet contains Dapagliflozin (sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors), Vildagliptin (dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor), and Metformin (biguanides), which work by increasing the amounts of certain natural substances that lower blood sugar when it is high.

Verifica-DM Tablet may cause certain side effects, such as vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain, headache, frequent urination, and allergic reactions. If these side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. Verifica-DM Tablet should be taken as prescribed by your doctor.

Uses of Verifica-DM Tablet

Directions for Use

Verifica-DM Tablet should be taken as advised by your doctor. It is advised not to take more than the recommended dose. Swallow the medicine as a whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush, or break the medicine.

Medicinal Benefits

Verifica-DM Tablet is a combination of three drugs, namely: Dapagliflozin, Vildagliptin, and Metformin. Verifica-DM Tablet belongs to the group of anti-diabetic medicines used to treat type-2 diabetes mellitus. Vildagliptin enhances glucose-mediated insulin secretion, thereby reducing fasting and post-prandial blood sugar concentrations. Dapagliflozin helps remove excess sugar from the body via urine. Metformin helps reduce the sugar production by cells in the liver and delays sugar absorption from the intestines.

What if I have taken an overdose of Verifica-DM Tablet

Please do not exceed the recommended dose, as it might cause an overdose. Signs and symptoms of an overdose of Verifica-DM Tablet may include low blood sugar and rhabdomyolysis (a condition that causes your muscles to break down, which leads to muscle death.). Seek immediate medical attention if you observe these symptoms or think you might have taken too much. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.

Verifica-DM Tablet should be avoided if you are allergic to any of the medicines or their components. Before starting the treatment, inform your doctor about your medical history and the medications you take, including herbs and supplements, to rule out any side effects. It is unknown whether Verifica-DM Tablet can be given to pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers. Hence, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age. Avoid drinking alcohol while on Verifica-DM Tablet as it increases the risk of hypoglycemia and lactic acidosis (when the lactic acid increases in the body, which impacts the functioning of various organs in the body). How does the drug interact with Verifica-DM Tablet 10's:
Co-administration of Verifica-DM Tablet 10's with Gatifloxacin may sometimes affect blood glucose levels. Both low blood glucose and, less frequently, high blood glucose have been reported.

How to manage the interaction:
Although there is a possible interaction, Gatifloxacin can be taken with Verifica-DM Tablet 10's if prescribed by the doctor. Consult the prescriber if you experience symptoms such as nervousness, confusion, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, tremor, nausea, hunger, weakness, perspiration, palpitation, rapid heartbeat, increased urination, increased thirst, and increased hunger. Maintaining blood glucose levels is advised. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.
