V Cefix-AZ LB Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections of the ear, skin, nose, throat, chest, lungs, and urinary tract. V Cefix-AZ LB Tablet is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria enter, multiply, and infect the body. V Cefix-AZ LB Tablet does not work against infections caused by the virus, including cold and flu.
V Cefix-AZ LB Tablet is a combination of three drugs, namely: Azithromycin, Cefixime, and Lactobacillus. Azithromycin prevents the synthesis of essential proteins which are required for the survival of the bacteria. Cefixime works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell covering, which is necessary for the survival of the bacteria. Thereby, kills the bacteria. Lactobacillus is a probiotic which helps in restoring the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have gotten upset due to the infection. Together, V Cefix-AZ LB Tablet helps in treating bacterial infections.
Take V Cefix-AZ LB Tablet as prescribed. The dose and duration of V Cefix-AZ LB Tablet can vary depending on your condition and the severity of the infection. In some cases, you may experience common side-effects such as nausea, vomiting, indigestion, loss of appetite, and stomach upset. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Drug-Drug Interactions: V Cefix-AZ LB Tablet may interact with digitalis glycoside (digoxin), anticoagulants (warfarin, coumadin), antibiotics (clarithromycin), and diuretics (furosemide).
