Uroguard Tablet contains Taurine and Acetylcysteine, which belong to the antioxidant class. This medication functions by shielding the kidneys from damage caused by dangerous substances (free radicals), hence assisting in the reduction of free radical generation that damages tissue.
Uroguard Tablet may cause certain side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, drowsiness, fever, abdominal pain, and rash. If these side effects persist, consult your doctor immediately. Take Uroguard Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.
Do not take Uroguard Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Uroguard Tablet is a combination medicine consisting of taurine and acetylcysteine. Taurine is an antioxidant that helps individuals with diabetic kidney disease keep their blood glucose levels and prevent additional tissue damage. Another antioxidant that can lessen the generation of free radicals that harm tissue is acetylcysteine. It has anti-inflammatory qualities as well. When used in tandem, Uroguard Tablet can successfully cure diabetic nephropathy and delay its progression.
Do not take Uroguard Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components. Before taking Uroguard Tablet , inform your doctor if you have any history of asthma, liver, or kidney diseases, or any allergic reactions. Also, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking Uroguard Tablet . Uroguard Tablet increases the risk of Steven-Johnson syndrome and Lyell syndrome, characterized by severe skin rashes. So, stop taking this medication and consult your doctor immediately if you notice skin rashes. Uroguard Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age.
Drug-drug interactions: Uroguard Tablet may interact with medications used to treat cough, a medicine used to treat poisonings (activated charcoal), aminoglycoside antibiotics (gentamicin, streptomycin, tobramycin, and amikacin, etc.), other antibiotics (penicillin and tetracycline), and a medication used to treat angina (glyceryl trinitrate).
