Tofon Eye Drops 5 ml belongs to the class of aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections. Bacterial eye infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade any eye part, such as the eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea.

Tofon Eye Drops 5 ml contains tobramycin, an antibiotic that works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus Tofon Eye Drops 5 ml treats bacterial eye infections.

Use Tofon Eye Drops 5 ml as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Tofon Eye Drops 5 ml are eye irritation, feeling of having something in the eye, swollen/itchy eyelids, eye redness, increased tearing and inflammation of the cornea (clear front portion of your eye). Most of these side effects fade away gradually over time without the need for medical intervention. However, consult your doctor if you experience these side effects frequently.

Directions for Use

Eye drops: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.Eye cream/ointment: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the cream/ointment into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
