Tofarus Ointment 20 gm belongs to a class of medicines called Janus kinase inhibitors, primarily used to treat alopecia areata (hair loss). Alopecia is the thinning or loss of hair on the scalp or any hair-bearing site on the body. Tofarus Ointment 20 gm stimulates hair growth and slows down the process of balding. Tofarus Ointment 20 gm is also used in the treatment of atopic dermatitis.
Tofarus Ointment 20 gm contains Tofacitinib, which belongs to the class of Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors. It affects hematopoiesis and immune cell activity by transmitting signals resulting from cytokine or growth factor-receptor interactions on the cellular membrane. This helps prevent hair cell death, promotes new hair growth, and reduces the redness and itchiness associated with skin infections.
