Themiset Injection 5 ml is used to prevent nausea and vomiting during chemotherapy. It contains Palonosetron, which blocks the action of serotonin, a chemical that stimulates the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone) located in the brain. Thus, it prevents nausea and vomiting. Common side effects of Themiset Injection 5 ml are diarrhoea, constipation, dizziness or headache.

About Themiset Injection 5 ml

Themiset Injection 5 ml belongs to a class of drugs called antiemetics used to prevent nausea and vomiting during chemotherapy. On the other hand, vomiting is the forcible voluntary or involuntary emptying of stomach contents through the mouth.

Themiset Injection 5 ml contains Palonosetron which works by blocking the action of serotonin, a chemical that stimulates the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone – CTZ) located in the brain. Thus, it prevents nausea and vomiting.

Themiset Injection 5 ml will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience diarrhoea, constipation, dizziness or headache.
