About Tericox Capsule

Tericox Capsule belongs to the group of 'anti-tuberculosis drugs' primarily used to treat pulmonary (infection in the lungs) and extrapulmonary (infection at other sites of the body) tuberculosis. Tericox Capsule is a second-line drug and is used only when first-line drugs cannot be used. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that primarily affects the lungs, but it can also spread to other body parts, such as kidneys, brain, spine, and bone marrow.

Tericox Capsule contains 'Terizidone' that belongs to the class of 'antimycobacterial.' It is bacteriostatic (stops bacterial growth) and works by preventing the cell wall synthesis in bacteria that cause tuberculosis. 

Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of Tericox Capsule based on the severity of your disease. Common side effects of Tericox Capsule include confusion, difficulty in sleeping, headache, dizziness, slurred speech, depression, convulsions (fits), and tremor (shakiness). Tericox Capsule contains 'Terizidone', which is used to treat multidrug-resistant and extensively-drug resistant tuberculosis. It is an antimycobacterial drug and has bacteriostatic action. It prevents the synthesis of the cell wall and interferes with the growth of bacteria that cause tuberculosis. Tericox Capsule is usually considered as a second-line drug and is used when the first-line drugs that treat tuberculosis are ineffective.
