Tenfoliv Tablet is used to treat HIV and chronic hepatitis B infection.
In the case of HIV infection, Tenfoliv Tablet may decrease the risk of spreading the virus to others, but the risks of infecting others still continue. Although, in the case of hepatitis B virus infection, Tenfoliv Tablet has not proven to decrease the risk of transferring the virus to others. Thereby, the patients of both HIV infection and hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection should not share needles and should practice safe sex.
Tenfoliv Tablet is safe if used in the dose and duration recommended by your doctor. Take it exactly as directed and do not skip any dose. Follow your doctor's guidelines carefully and inform your doctor if any of the side effects disturb you.
Duration of treatment will depend on the seriousness of hepatitis B virus infection. You will require to take regular blood tests to keep a check on the viral load. Your doctor will then decide the duration of the Tenfoliv Tablet appropriately. In a few cases, treatment is needed lifelong.

If you vomit within 1 hour of taking Tenfoliv Tablet, take another one. However, you need not take another tablet if you vomit after more than an hour of taking Tenfoliv Tablet. If you forget to take Tenfoliv Tablet within 12 hours of your usual dosing time, you should take it with food as soon as possible and go back to the normal dosing schedule. If you miss a dose of Tenfoliv Tablet by more than 12 hours and it is almost time for your next dose, you should skip the missed dose and simply resume the regular dosing schedule.
The side effects of Tenfoliv Tablet include nausea, diarrhoea, rash, weakness, and stomach pain. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
