Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet belongs to the group of anti-hypertensive medicines used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet helps lower blood pressure, thereby reducing the chances of heart problems such as heart attack and stroke. High blood pressure is a condition in which the blood exerts increased pressure on the walls of blood vessels. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, nosebleeds, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness, and dyspnea (shortness of breath). However, most of the time, the signs and symptoms of hypertension are none.
 
Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet is a combination of three drugs: Cilnidipine, Telmisartan, and Metoprolol succinate. Cilnidipine acts on the calcium channels of the blood vessels and suppresses the contraction of blood vessels, thereby helping the blood flow smoothly. Telmisartan works by blocking the angiotensin II receptor, thereby relaxing the blood vessels and lowering the blood pressure. Metoprolol succinate slows down the rate and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body. Together, Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet helps treat hypertension.
 
Take Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet as prescribed. You are advised to take Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet for as long as your doctor has recommended it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as headache, nausea, dizziness, weakness, decreased blood pressure, and slow heart rate. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
 
Try not to stop taking Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet on your own, as it may cause a sudden increase in blood pressure. Consult your doctor before taking Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet is not recommended for children as efficacy and safety have not been established. Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive with caution. Avoid consuming alcohol as it might cause increased dizziness. Do not take Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor before taking Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet if you have diabetes, circulation problems, asthma, thyroid disorder, adrenal gland tumour, heart, kidney, or liver problems; if you are on a low-salt diet or if you are taking potassium supplements. Consult your doctor before taking Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet is not recommended for children as efficacy and safety have not been established. Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive with caution. Avoid consuming alcohol as it might cause increased dizziness. Rise slowly from lying/sitting position as Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet may cause dizziness (orthostatic hypotension).

Drug-Drug Interactions: Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet may have interaction with medicines such as painkiller (aspirin), anti-convulsant (pregabalin, phenytoin), anti-depressant (duloxetine), anti-diabetic (insulin glargine), diuretic (furosemide), hormone (levothyroxine), antibiotics (erythromycin, rifampicin), anti-arrhythmic agent (quinidine), cytokines (aldesleukin).

Drug-Food Interactions: Maintain low-salt and low-fat diet while taking Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet . Avoid consuming food rich in potassium, such as potassium-containing salt substitutes or over-the-counter potassium supplements. Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet may have interactions with conditions such as diabetes, renal dysfunction (kidney disease), pulmonary disease, alcoholism, congestive heart failure (heart disease), hypotension (low blood pressure), and liver disease.

• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.

• Maintain a healthy weight with proper diet and exercise.

• Managing stress with meditation, yoga, massage would also help in treating high blood pressure.

• Avoid consuming food rich in potassium, such as bananas, broccoli, almonds, avocado, and potassium supplements.

Regular monitoring of blood pressure levels, kidney function and electrolyte levels while taking Telmikind-LNB 50 Tablet is advised.
