Tafmune-Em Tablet is a combination of two medications: Emtricitabine and Tenofovir alafenamide. Emtricitabine is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor, while Tenofovir alafenamide is a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor. Tafmune-Em Tablet works by inhibiting the action of reverse transcriptase enzymes, which are essential for the virus to replicate. You are advised to take Tafmune-Em Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it, depending on your medical condition.
