About Sinus -D 20 Tablet

Sinus -D 20 Tablet is used to treat dry cough. A cough is a reflex action that helps to clear any foreign irritant or mucus in the throat. 

Sinus -D 20 Tablet contains Dextromethorphan hydrobromide, a cough suppressant. It works by blocking the cough receptor present in the brain, which is known to cause cough.

The most common side effects of Sinus -D 20 Tablet are dizziness, drowsiness, sleepiness, confusion, and nausea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before starting Sinus -D 20 Tablet . Sinus -D 20 Tablet should be given to children only if prescribed by the doctor. Sinus -D 20 Tablet is primarily used to treat dry cough. Sinus -D 20 Tablet contains Dextromethorphan hydrobromide, a cough suppressant. It works by blocking the cough receptor present in the brain, which is known to cause cough. Sinus -D 20 Tablet is generally prescribed for short-term treatment of dry cough. 

Directions for Use

Tablet: Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.Syrup/Drops: Shake the bottle well before use. Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup/dosing syringe/dropper provided by the pack.Lozenges: Place the lozenge in the mouth and allow it to dissolve slowly. Do not crush, chew or swallow as a whole.

Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight

Drug Warnings

Do not take Sinus -D 20 Tablet if you are allergic to any of the contents. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before starting Sinus -D 20 Tablet . If your condition does not improve or you have a recurring cough with fever, rash, please visit the doctor immediately, as this could be serious. Sinus -D 20 Tablet should be taken at least 15 days after the last dose of anti-depressants, especially monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO), as taking both together may be fatal.

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction: Inform the doctor if you are taking MAO inhibitor (isocarboxazid, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, tranylcypromine), anti-arrhythmic medications (amiodarone, propafenone, quinidine and flecainide), opioid analgesics (codeine, tramadol, morphine, methadone), anti-anxiety medications (fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline) and anti-fungal (terbinafine).
