Simercetin 125mg Injection belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat severe bacterial infections such as meningitis and typhoid. It should only be used when other antibiotics are not suitable. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Simercetin 125mg Injection does not work against infections caused by viruses, including colds and flu.
 
Simercetin 125mg Injection contains ‘Chloramphenicol’ that works by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins which are necessary for vital bacterial functions. Thus, kills the bacteria and helps in treating infection. Simercetin 125mg Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is active against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
