Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called ‘antidepressants’. It is used in the treatment of depression. Depression is a common mood disorder, which negatively affects a person's daily life described as feelings of sadness, loss, or anger. Depression symptoms can vary from mild to severe and can include: feeling sad, thoughts of death or suicide, loss of interest, weight loss or gain unrelated to dieting, trouble sleeping, loss of energy, feeling worthless or guilty and difficulty thinking.

Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet is a combination of two drugs: clonazepam and paroxetine. Clonazepam increases levels of a calming chemical, gamma-amino-butyric-acid (GABA), in your brain. Paroxetine increases the serotonin hormone levels that improve mood, behaviour and prevent symptoms of depression.

You are advised to take Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition and response to the treatment. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, memory impairment, uncoordinated body movements, drowsiness, low sexual desire and delayed ejaculation. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.

To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed. Do not take Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet causes drowsiness, sleepiness, do not drive unless you are alert. Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet should not be given to children and adolescents aged 18 years for treating depression. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet as it could lead to increased drowsiness and dizziness. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side-effects.

Do not take Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet if you are allergic to Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet or any other ingredients in it. Tell your doctor if you are taking antidepressants, antipsychotic medication, antihypertensives, or pain medication. Talk to your doctor if you have a history of seizures, bipolar disorder, suicide attempts, or schizophrenia. Patients with liver diseases, diabetes, heart disease, lung disease and bleeding disorders should use Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet with caution. Please do not stop the treatment abruptly as it can cause withdrawal reactions. Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet is not recommended to use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age as it increases suicidal tendencies in this population. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience suicidal thoughts such as killing or harming yourself while on this medication. Do not take Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed. Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet causes drowsiness and dizziness, do not drive unless you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Setoxlin 25 Plus Tablet as it could lead to increased drowsiness and dizziness.

• Perform meditation and yoga. This helps in relieving stress and provides relaxation.
• Follow a regular sleep pattern to improve the amount and quality of sleep you get.
• Include foods rich in omega fatty acids such as fish, nuts, fresh fruits, vegetables and olive oils.
