Saffy D 200mg/500mg Tablet SR belongs to a class of drugs called antibiotics used to treat several bacterial infections of the urinary tract, ears, nose, throat, chest, and lungs. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Saffy D 200mg/500mg Tablet SR does not work against infections caused by the virus.

Saffy D 200mg/500mg Tablet SR is a combination of two antibiotics, namely: Cefixime and Dicloxacillin.  Saffy D 200mg/500mg Tablet SR works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) that is necessary for their survival. Thereby damages the bacterial cell wall and kills bacteria.

Take Saffy D 200mg/500mg Tablet SR as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Saffy D 200mg/500mg Tablet SR for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. You may experience vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, indigestion, or vaginal itching in some cases. Most of these side effects of Saffy D 200mg/500mg Tablet SR do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. Directions for Use

Saffy D 200mg/500mg Tablet SR can be taken with or without food as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not break, crush or chew it. Do not take Saffy D 200mg/500mg Tablet SR while going to bed or lying down to prevent stomach irritation or heartburn.
