Sacro-500 Capsule is indicated in the treatment of diarrhoea in children. It may also be used to treat antibiotic-associated diarrhoea and gastroenteritis (stomach flu). Diarrhoea is a condition in which bowel movements are too frequent, leading to loose, watery stools.

Sacro-500 Capsule contains Saccharomyces boulardii, a probiotic which works by destroying harmful bacteria that cause diarrhoea. Thereby, it helps treat diarrhoea in children. It also helps restore the balance of gut microflora, enhances immune response and combats gastrointestinal disorders.

Sometimes, Sacro-500 Capsule may cause side effects such as gas or bloating. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if they persist or worsen, contact the doctor.

Please inform the doctor if your child is allergic to any of the components in Sacro-500 Capsule . Also, keep the doctor informed about your child’s health condition and medications to rule out any side effects or interactions.

Shake well before use. Check the label for directions and administer the advised dose to the child using the measuring cup/measuring spoon/dropper.

• Gas or bloating

Do not administer Sacro-500 Capsule to the child if they are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if the child has kidney or liver problems, blood or black stools, fever, mucus in stool, or if the diarrhoea persists for more than 24-48 hours. Let the doctor know if your child is taking any other medications, including herbal products or vitamin/mineral supplements.

• Ensure that the child drinks plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.
• Include bland foods such as bananas, rice, apples, cream of wheat, soda crackers, farina, applesauce, and toast to avoid the aggravation of the digestive system.
• Avoid spicy foods, processed foods, pork, veal, sardines, raw vegetables, rhubarb, onions, corn, citrus fruits, alcohol, pineapples, cherries, seeded berries, grapes, and caffeinated and carbonated drinks. 
• Teach the child to wash their hands properly after using the toilet to prevent infections.
