RISORINE KIT TABLET belongs to the group of medicines called anti-tuberculosis drugs primarily used to treat tuberculosis (TB). Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that mainly affects the lungs but can also spread to other body parts such as kidneys, brain, spine, and bone marrow.

RISORINE KIT TABLET contains Rifampicin, Ethambutol, Isoniazid, Piperine and Pyrazinamide. RISORINE KIT TABLET works by killing the bacteria named Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which causes TB (tuberculosis). Thus, it helps treat tuberculosis.

In some cases, RISORINE KIT TABLET may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, headache, and dizziness. Most of these side effects may not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to the doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Let the doctor know if you are allergic to any of the components in RISORINE KIT TABLET. Consult the doctor before taking RISORINE KIT TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. RISORINE KIT TABLET may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Keep the doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any interactions/side effects.

Rifampicin inactivates the RNA-polymerase enzyme, which is necessary for the bacteria to reproduce and make essential proteins. Pyrazinamide and Ethambutol slow the growth of the bacteria. Isoniazid prevents the formation of bacterial protective covering. Piperine helps increase blood supply and produces substances that fight pain and swelling. Together, RISORINE KIT TABLET helps treat tuberculosis.

Do not take RISORINE KIT TABLET if you are allergic to any of its components. Inform the doctor if you have diabetes, epilepsy, gout, mental health problems, HIV infection, malnutrition, peripheral neuropathy, porphyria, bleeding problems, kidney or liver problems. Consult the doctor before taking RISORINE KIT TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Let the doctor know if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal products and supplements.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Inform the doctor if you take antibiotics (erythromycin) or other medicines, including supplements or herbal products.

Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid foods and drinks containing histamine or tyramine, such as cured meat, matured cheese, soya, tuna, salmon, mackerel, wine, and beer, while taking RISORINE KIT TABLET as they might cause interaction.

Drug-Disease Interactions: Inform the doctor if you have colitis, peripheral neuropathy, porphyria, gout (high uric acid), or kidney or liver dysfunction.

• Foods rich in vitamin C, such as kiwi, broccoli, and bell pepper, help improve the immune system. 
• Avoid processed and fried foods.
• Warm ginger tea or warm soup can help relieve a cough.
• Avoid foods and drinks containing histamine or tyramine, such as cured meat, matured cheese, soya, tuna, salmon, mackerel, wine, and beer.
• Quit smoking and avoid alcohol consumption.
