RCINEX Z KID TABLET belongs to the group of medicines called anti-mycobacterial drugs primarily used to treat tuberculosis (TB). Tuberculosis is an infectious respiratory disease that affects the lungs but can also spread to other body parts such as the kidneys, brain, spine, and bone marrow.
RCINEX Z KID TABLET is a combination medicine containing rifampicin, isoniazid, and pyrazinamide, which belong to an anti-tubercular class of drugs. It works by destroying the bacteria that is responsible for causing lung infection known as Tuberculosis (TB). The bacteria that causes the infection is Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
RCINEX Z KID TABLET may cause certain side effects in your child, such as indigestion, headache, nausea, and vomiting. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your paediatrician. RCINEX Z KID TABLET should be given as advised by your doctor. Do not give more than the prescribed dose to the child. It can be given with or without food. Generally, the dose of the medicine will be decided by your paediatrician, depending upon the severity of the infection. Finish the full course of treatment, and do not skip any doses even if your child starts feeling good.
RCINEX Z KID TABLET is intended for pediatric use only. Avoid giving RCINEX Z KID TABLET to your child if she/he is allergic to any of the components present in this medicine. Keep your doctor informed about your child’s health condition, including his current medications and medical history, to rule out any side effects/interactions. Before giving RCINEX Z KID TABLET, tell your paediatrician if your child has eye problems, liver disease, or kidney disease.
RCINEX Z KID TABLET contains rifampicin, isoniazid, and pyrazinamide, which is an anti-tuberculosis medicine. Do not stop giving this medicine without informing your doctor; doing so may cause the infection to return or worsen. Adhere to your doctor's instructions carefully to get maximum benefit.
Avoid giving RCINEX Z KID TABLET to your child if she/he is allergic to it. Keep your paediatrician informed about your child’s health condition, including their previous medications and medical history, to rule out any side effects/interactions. Before administration, inform the paediatrician about all the OTC medicines, including other vitamin supplements that your child is taking. It is advised not to give more than the prescribed dose of medicine. Also, inform your doctor if your child has liver or kidney-related issues before administration. RCINEX Z KID TABLET is intended for use in children. Hence, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should avoid using this medicine.
Drug-Drug Interactions: RCINEX Z KID TABLET has interactions with certain medicines and vitamins. Hence inform your paediatrician about your child’s complete medication history, including OTC products, for further prevention of side effects.
