About Ranser O Injection

Ranser O Injection belongs to a group of medicines called gastrointestinal agents used to treat acidity, nausea, and vomiting. Acidity/acid reflux is characterised by excess acid levels leading to heartburn. Nausea is an uneasy feeling in which the person feels an urge to vomit, whereas vomiting is an uncontrollable reflex that expels the contents of the stomach through the mouth.

Ranser O Injection contains Ranitidine (H2 receptor antagonist) and Ondansetron (anti-emetic). Ranitidine works by blocking histamine H2 receptors located on the stomach lining, thereby reducing gastric acid secretion. Ondansetron works by inhibiting the action of serotonin, a chemical messenger that triggers nausea and vomiting.

In some cases, Ranser O Injection may cause side effects such as stomach pain, headache, constipation, irritation and redness at the injection site. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any components in Ranser O Injection. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Limited information is available regarding the usage of Ranser O Injection in children; please consult your doctor if you have any concerns. Keep your doctor informed about all the medicines and your health condition to rule out any side effects/interactions.
